It is the mission of CASA of Sedgwick County to provide caring, trained volunteers to advocate for the abused and neglected children of our community so that each child can reach his or her full potential.

Volunteer of the Month
December Volunteer of the Month - Jacob Baalman
Jacob has been a CASA since the Fall of 2011. Despite 2012 being a very busy year for him, he has consistently advocated for his mischievous 14 year old CASA kiddo. Jake has kept in touch with the Permanency Specialist, therapist, school personnel, and other professionals. He has driven upwards of 300 miles to ensure his child’s needs are being met. What impresses me most about Jake is his creativity and willingness to think outside the box when it comes to connecting with his CASA kiddo. Jake is a great CASA and deserves recognition as December’s volunteer of the month!
