Introducing CASA of Sedgwick County’s #Unselfie Campaign for #GivingTuesday
This #GivingTuesday, share your CASA Unselfie on social media in support of our mission.
Every day, CASA volunteers lift up the voices of Sedgwick County’s most vulnerable children in Court. They selflessly embody what it means to say "I Am For The Child." Now is your chance to be for the child. #GivingTuesday
What is an "Unselfie" and how do I take one?
An "Unselfie” is just a play on the word "selfie,” which means a picture that you take of yourself. With an "unselfie," CASA hopes to shift the focus away from ourselves and onto the children we serve.
All you need for an "unselfie” is a piece of paper that reads "I Am For the Child” and a camera, preferably a camera phone. Either turn the camera around and take a picture of yourself holding the sign, which is a real "selfie,” or have someone else take a picture of you holding it. Make sure to get the sign in the shot! Then, share that image on facebook and twitter, either with the sample posts provided, or with your own text. Tag your friends and challenge them to do the same, and make sure to use the hashtags #Unselfie and #IAmForTheChild!
New to social media? Not quite sure how to upload a picture or tag a friend? Check out our step-by-step social media guide that walks you through how to share your #Unselfie on social media!
