We promote and support quality volunteer experiences to help us achieve our mission of ensuring safe, permanent and nurturing homes for children.
CASA Volunteer: Advocate in court for an abused or neglected child. To make a difference in the life of a vulnerable child it only takes 2-5 hours per week. These children are court involved through no fault of their own and need someone there for them. Free training is provided.
CASA Ambassador: Help program staff spread the word about the good work of the Sedgwick County CASA Program by becoming a member of our speaker’s bureau. Help the CASA program grow in service to the approximately 1,700 children thrust into our local court system through no fault of their own. Assist in the recruitment of CASA program volunteers.
CASA Coach: If you are an experienced, certified CASA volunteer, you can provide peer mentoring and support to newly certified CASA volunteers.
Newsletter Writer: Research and write articles for the quarterly "CASA Chronicle". Articles relay information to CASA volunteers to enhance the knowledge to better advocate for the children they serve.
Office Assistant: Contribute to the organization by assisting with various clerical functions and other support duties including but not limited to, data entry, filing, copying, collating, answering telephones, done in a day projects, preparing mailings and training materials.
Recognition Committee Member: Collaborate in the planning and execution of recognition events and activities through out the year.
Translator: Assist program volunteers and staff with verbal and written translation.
